Even Immortals Fear Zombies
As creatures with such short lifespans humans are ironically fearful of ending their brief and trivial existence. Immortals such as the vampire, werewolf and other even older more mysterious creatures of the shadow world do not share this immediate fear of death. However there are things even immortals fear and it is certain that the mention of the word “Zombie” will bring with it equal fear and loathing to immortal and mortal heart alike.
Paranoid Werewolf Politician Builds Zombie Proof House
However all is not lost even the greatest vampire, werewolf or well prepared human can protect themselves. The ever inventive human journalists at All Things Intested recorded one paranoid werewolf politician’s sterling efforts to build a truly zombie proof house. Who wouldn’t feel safe in a concrete rectangle that folds in upon itself to become completely sealed? Even the windows are covered with a slab of concrete when the structure is on nap time.
Zombie Origins Shrouded in Mystery
No one really knowns how and why zombies came into existence. Leading scientific minds of the vampire world have long speculated about the genesis and trigger mechanisms for zombies and the random pandemics of undeath, fear and carnage that follow an outbreak which have lead to the untimely fall of numerous immortals in the ensuing chaos. Current thinking is that Zombism represents a ressesive genetic hybridisation of the vampire and human genome that lies dormant in the human population. It is unknown what triggers a zombie outbreak but whatever the trigger the results are frightfully well understood and documented in great detail in the media and immortal archives.
Media Exploitation Division Efforts to Prepare a Zombie Defence
The vampire’s own Media Exploitation Division funds numerous media projects exposing the menace of a zombie pandemic so that the human population might prepare some form of defence and not be taken completely by surprise when the mindless undead horde inevitable rise to to stalk the earth on the hunt for human flesh to slake their unending hunger. Recent books such as World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide sponsored by the MED present mostly factual data on how to manage, survive and potential win against a level 10 Zombie outbreak. Movies such as the recent 28 Days Later and the classic Dawn of the Dead from an era of the last recorded high threat level present a more dramatic account of such chaos but still contain acceptable levels of fact and truth to be considered educational and instructional for the human population. The humans current infatuation with the newest media darling video games has also been used to educate the human herds in case of wide scale zombie outbreak of note in this class are Left 4 Dead and Resident Evil.
The current infatuation with video games both in the human and vampire world has lead to the current plan by the vampire’s shadow council to launch a tracking and hunting tool masquerading as a location game so they might better manage, hunt and feed on their human herds and is well documented here at Vampire Cities.
